The Benefits of an API Bank Connection
Open banking has transformed how companies access and manage their financial data. Through PSD2 APIs, businesses can now establish a secure bank connection within minutes to automate cash visibility, streamline bank reconciliation, and improve cash management across multiple accounts and entities.
At Finqware, we make open banking work for real businesses. Our technology enables seamless bank API integration, allowing you to connect your accounts from any major Romanian bank directly into FinqTreasury — your treasury management software.
This guide explains how to connect to Romanian banks via PSD2 APIs using the Finqware platform, whether through the FinqTreasury web app or any integrated solution.
Each bank connection follows a guided, secure flow that starts when you click “Connect a Bank” inside the Finqware application. To complete the connection, you’ll need an active internet or mobile banking account and at least viewing rights for your company’s accounts.
If you’re not redirected back to Finqware after authentication, restart the process or contact our support team to reopen the connection flow.
