How does Finqware aggregate banking data across Europe?
Finqware offers one of the largest bank connectivity coverages in Central and Eastern Europe, enabling your customers to connect accounts from multiple banks into a single platform.
The connection process is designed to be fast, secure, and seamless:
- Start a bank connection directly from your platform.
- Display the list of supported banks using the FinqData bank selection interface.
- Guide the user through a secure authorisation flow powered by Finqware, where they confirm access through their internet or mobile banking application.
- Retrieve banking data automatically once the connection is approved, including account details, balances, transactions, and transaction history.
To complete the process, users only need an active internet or mobile banking account with viewing rights for their company accounts.

Find out more about how FinqData works in this section.
FinqData can be offered as a licensed service (operating under Finqware’s PSD2 license) or as a technical service (using your own license). The features remain identical in both cases.
It’s simple: if you are an enterprise that wants to use a platform to manage your own finances, you want FinqTreasury. If you are a digital platform looking to build financial features for your customers using multibanking data, you need FinqData.
Finqware aggregates in a normalised format banking data across countries, bank products and languages. Normalisation is applied to all data objects: accounts, balances and transactions. For balances, there is a balance type called “available” which is guaranteed across banks, while other types, including overdraft or closing balances can be provided upon bank API capabilities. For transactions, the guaranteed set of details are: account IBAN and name, counterparty IBAN and name, amount, currency, transaction description, end to end id, booking date, value date, timestamp.
Extra data enrichment is available as a supplementary features. Bank fees, deposits, credit lines, repayments, interests, card, or pos transactions – all these treasury operations and banking services are covered by automatic labelling. Finqware’s proprietary bank transaction categorization algorithm uniformly classifies all your treasury operations across banks, countries, currencies, and languages. FinqData API feeds classified transactions directly into your accounting ledgers.
Data refresh schedules are configurable. Typically, data can be refreshed on demand up to every 5 minutes and upon a schedule up to 4 times a day.
Finqware uses secure user tokens and doesn’t collect personal data about your platform’s users except for their explicit consent to share banking data.
