Finqware, an innovative European fintech based in Romania that puts Open Banking at work to deliver financial management automation and next-generation payment solutions, has appointed Anca Motca as Head of Partnerships and Growth, reinforcing the company’s commitment to attracting top-tier leadership as it accelerates into its next stage of expansion.
A senior executive with extensive leadership experience in distribution channels across banking, payments, and business transformation, Anca joins Finqware after more than 17 years in top management roles at ING Bank and Garanti BBVA. In her previous roles at ING Bank Romania, Anca was instrumental in building the retail franchised network of ING Offices, coordinating the deployment of this unique project in the Romanian banking market from scratch. Through excellence in execution, this initiative contributed significantly to ING Bank’s later success in the retail segment. Anca’s last role in banking was in the top management team of Garanti BBVA Romania, as Deputy General Manager, where she built and scaled high-performing commercial teams and consistently delivered top-tier commercial performance
I have known Anca since the time we worked together while I was partnering with ING Bank Romania and operating a franchised retail banking office, and she was coordinating the sales management area within the bank, overseeing the implementation of the retail strategy. In all her previous professional projects, she built top-performing teams and led the implementation of innovative commercial models that redefined growth and productivity standards in the market, combining entrepreneurial thinking with strong execution discipline. This naturally led to my efforts to persuade her to join us at Finqware to help build a top-notch European player in the open banking space. I am very happy to announce her commitment and look forward to building results together
Anca’s appointment marks a strategic step in Finqware’s growth agenda, as the company continues to strengthen its position as a leading infrastructure partner for financial digitalisation across Europe. Anca Motca’s combination of enterprise-grade banking experience and growth-oriented business leadership makes her uniquely positioned to support Finqware’s long-term, world-class ambitions.
Finqware is at a very important stage in its journey, as more companies across Europe are looking for better operational control and smarter ways to automate financial processes. I am excited to join an ambitious team that not only builds cutting-edge technology but also helps shape how financial institutions and businesses operate in a more connected, real-time environment. My goal is to strengthen strategic partnerships that accelerate adoption, create long-term value for our ecosystem, and support Finqware’s next phase of growth.
Anca’s appointment reflects Finqware’s ambition to deepen collaboration with banks, enterprise software providers, and other ecosystem players that share its vision for a connected financial Europe. Having already established a strong foundation as a trusted Open Banking partner for enterprise companies seeking greater visibility and control over their financial operations, including through multi-bank connectivity and solutions built for real-time treasury, the company is now further strengthening its ability to translate that foundation into broader market reach, stronger commercial relationships, and new growth opportunities across the region.
The appointment comes at a time when Finqware is actively investing in its commercial workforce, capabilities, and market relationships to expand its impact across Europe. As demand for real-time treasury automation, embedded finance, and structured financial data connectivity continues to grow, the company is strengthening its senior leadership team to capitalize on market opportunities and achieve sustained growth.
